"St Brendan Carving"

Dimensions; 4 feet in diameter
Material; Elm

This piece was attributed to St. Brendan, a very well known St. among the Irish and the Scots.  In modern times a jeweler created the idea of the four fish with their tails forming a cross as a symbol for the Saint and it has stuck.  Brendan was said to have loved the sea and traveled extensively with a simple boat.
